Choice People are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Sales and Events Executive to join our team. This role will report to theSales & Marketing Manager. The successful candidate will be focused on retaining and maintaining existing business but will also have the drive and ability to attract and develop new wedding and event sales. This hotel property has a wonderful reputation and fabulous setting .The guests have a variety of options to enjoy the catering experience, including room service, fine dining in the restaurant, afternoon tea in the drawing rooms and light snacks and refreshments on the lawn as well as attending large functions, weddings and conferences in the ballroom and surrounding meeting rooms.

Role Overview

The Senior Sales and Events Executive is responsible for assisting clients in planning entire weddings and specific wedding activities. To discuss wedding logistics with the clients, negotiate vendor contracts, and ensure that the wedding-day activities run smoothly. The successful candidate should be up to date with the latest wedding trends, demonstrate exceptional communication, organisation & guest service skills. This role reports to the Sales & Marketing Manager.

Main Duties:

To increase Wedding business conversion and grow number of weddings for the hotel in accordance with the hotel budget and business plan.

Plan out quarterly Sales & Marketing initiatives to drive wedding enquiries.

Complete management of 3rd Party Wedding websites

To manage and maintain the function diary to yield maximum revenues.

Managing all Wedding accounts as well as relationship building with local guests for other occasional gatherings.

Manage all aspects of the Wedding & Events diary and daily amendments to function sheets/BEO’s.

Manage future Bride & Grooms from enquiry through to contract and execution of event on the day.

Up-dating and maintaining of client files in accordance with the hotel guidelines.

Conducting follow up calls to obtain feedback from past couples & local clients on a weekly basis.

Management of all social media channels from a wedding perspective with the ability to create live videos.

Compiling and updating Weddings pace & business on the book’s reports.

To manage the PM account and ensure correct billing procedures are adhered to.

To co-ordinate and co-chair, the weekly Function Sheet Meeting with the Sales & Events Executive ensuring that the operational team are clearly briefed for the next 10 days events.

Conducts corporate “Wedding Showrounds” (virtually & face to face).

To ensure clear action plans are in place and reviewed monthly in accordance with the hotel budget and business plan.

Maximise revenue in relation to the average customer spend by up-selling Weddings & Events Booked.

Attends “Wedding Open Days” and Fairs along with the sales team and manage the planning activity surrounding these.

Co-ordinate and manage own Hotel Wedding Open Days, Showcase Evenings and Wedding Fairs within the hotel.

To carry out any additional duties requested by the sales team which will support the departments and hotels Business goals.

The successful candidate will have:

Relevant Sales Qualifications

Minimum 3 years' similar experience

Strong outgoing personality, with excellent presentation and interpersonal skills

Previous experience in the hospitality business would be a decided advantage

Proven record of meeting deadlines and targets, excellent attention to detail.

Full driving license and own mode of transport.
